M.P.Ed.

M.P.Ed also known as Master of Physical Education is a two-year duration postgraduate course in physical education.In this course, candidates get to learn about various sports and they can choose one as per their specialization. it's a masters level program, it provides students with professional training and knowledge about fitness in sports and enables them to enhance their skills and abilities in the respective field. It deals with subjects such as sports science, sports psychology, sports research methodology, sports medicine, exercise physiology, etc.

Candidates are also trained to understand the theories and expertise of physical education and gain in-depth knowledge about fitness, physical training, therapy and consultation.

A student can build his/her career as a trainer/coach, sports journalist, Physical Education Instructor & other sports duties at government or private sector institutions. After completing a degree in M.P.Ed., students can also go for a higher degree like Phd.

Eligibility Criteria – As per NCTE norms:

Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or equivalent with at least 50% marks.

Or

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Health and Physical Education with at least 50% marks.

The reservation in seats and relaxation in quilifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government, whichever is applicable.
